Be ruthless with your guest list. I always use this analogy - would you take that person out for dinner and pay for their meal? If the answer is no, then why are they on your day guest list? Weddings can be pricey and you are ultimately paying for their day out. Make sure it's your nearest and dearest, who you will celebrate with in years to come. Everyone will have an opinion but you only need yours!
Have wedmin evenings/days. The wedding planning can take over your life somewhat but it should be an enjoyable process not a chore. Stick to set dates and times throughout the week to discuss the big day. Saving other spare moments for date nights, family meals and catching up with friends.
Choose a venue with a wedding planning team onsite that can help you along the way.
