Introduction
Chippenham Park places great importance on the safety, security and enjoyment of all of its visitors and endeavours to ensure that the high standards set by Chippenham Park are complied with by all persons visiting Chippenham Park and Gardens.
We truly hope that you have a fantastic experience with us. In order for you to make the most of your visit and in the interests of safety and security, we would like to bring to your express attention the following key terms and information which we require you to comply with and abide by at all times. Entry to Chippenham Park will only be permitted to those visitors who are willing to comply with these booking and entry terms and conditions (“Entry Conditions”).

Section A - About Us
Chippenham Park is a privately-owned garden and parkland estate, managed by Chippenham Park Events LLP, a limited company registered at Companies House under company registration number OC362650 (“Chippenham Park”, “we”, “us”, “our”). Our registered address is at Chippenham Park, Chippenham, Ely, Cambridgeshire, CB7 5PT.

For the purposes of these Entry Conditions, references to “Chippenham Park” means those attractions and facilities which form part of the Chippenham Park & Gardens including the House, Marquee, Park, Gardens, Teahouse / Café and Rooms which are available to members of the public to access.

Section B - Purchasing Tickets
o Tickets can be purchased on-site at the gate at Chippenham Park or, in the case of Annual Memberships, by telephone by calling our customer support team (whose contact information is included in Section A above). Full payment is required at the time of booking.
o When you place an order for an Annual Membership ticket on the telephone, our acceptance of your booking will take place as soon as we process your payment, at which point a contract will be entered into between you and us. confirmation forms part of your ticket and must be presented on arrival to gain entry to the Chippenham Park Estate.
o There are two different ticket types available to purchase. These are the Chippenham Park Annual Membership and a one day Park & Gardens ticket. You can find out more information regarding the on-site facilities by visiting our Website or contacting us using the details provided above in Section A. Please note, additional terms and conditions apply to the issue and use of a Chippenham Park Annual Membership (see section J of these Entry Conditions).
o Tickets are valid for one entry to the relevant facilities and experiences at the Chippenham Park Estate. Tickets purchased are only valid on the date printed on the ticket.
o Tickets are non-refundable, cannot be exchanged and are non-transferable and accordingly may not be sold or passed to any third party.
o Should you or a member of your party need to cancel your booking once it has been confirmed through no fault of ours, you must immediately notify us. We are unable to provide refunds in respect of such cancelled bookings.
o All persons entering the Chippenham Park must hold and present a valid ticket. Tickets must be retained at all times and, where required by Chippenham Park , submitted for inspection. Any tickets or donation receipts which have been altered or defaced will be void.
o Tickets may not be valid for special events or experiences which may attract a separate admission fee.
o A maximum of one (1) carer is permitted to enter the Chippenham Park free of charge when accompanying someone with a disability (within the meaning of the Equality Act 2010).
o Children under 5 years of age are given free access to the Chippenham Park provided that they are accompanied by an adult aged 18 years or over who is a valid ticket holder).
o Chippenham Park is private property. The sale of tickets by anyone other than Chippenham Park is strictly prohibited. Only persons authorised by Chippenham Park are permitted to sell or offer for sale any items to visitors within the Chippenham Park grounds.
o In order to implement and manage these Entry Conditions and to enable Chippenham Park to comply with its contractual and statutory obligations, Chippenham Park will need to process certain personal data relating to ticket holders and other visitors. Details of the types of personal data which Chippenham Park collects, the purposes for which Chippenham Park processes that personal data and its legal basis for doing so, are included in a separate data privacy policy available here. For further details on how this may apply in practice, you may contact Chippenham Park using the contact details set out in Section A.

Section C - Admissions
o All persons entering Chippenham Park are admitted subject to these Entry Conditions. By entering the Chippenham Park, you are taken to have read and are deemed to understand, accept and agree to, these Entry Conditions.
o If tickets are purchased on behalf of other visitors (as part of a group booking, for example), the purchasing person accepts these Entry Conditions on behalf of every visitor and shall ensure that these Entry Conditions are adhered to and complied with in all respects by each such person.
o No child or children aged 16 or under will be admitted to Chippenham Park unless they are accompanied by an adult aged 18 years or over (who is a valid ticket holder) and such child or children whilst on-site must remain under the control and supervision of an adult at all times. Chippenham Park reserves the right, in its absolute discretion, to change the age restrictions referred to in this condition, if any particular circumstances so require in the interests of safety, security or other operational reasons.
o You are reminded that for operational, technical, safety, security or other reasons, certain facilities at Chippenham Park may be closed, removed, altered or otherwise unavailable at any time and no refunds will be given or compensation paid in such circumstances. In the event of any such closure, removal, alteration or unavailability, we accept no responsibility for travel, accommodation or any other associated costs of any visitor.
o Opening dates and hours for Chippenham Park are displayed on our Website, however these dates and hours may be subject to seasonal restrictions and other changes without notice, in our discretion. We may also restrict access in whole or in part to Chippenham Park for capacity and health and safety reasons, in our discretion.
o By entering Chippenham Park, you accept that you are under a duty to take reasonable steps to ensure your own safety (including the safety of any children under your control or supervision) and of those within your party, taking into account, amongst other matters, any personal medical conditions.
o Please be aware that there are some areas in and around Chippenham Park which are not level, areas where visitors could slip, trip or fall and bodies of water. Rather than put up signs to spoil your view or to restrict access to these areas, we want to keep things just as they were intended years ago. This relies on our visitors being alert to these potential issues and particularly keeping young children nearby and safe.
o We reserve the right to refuse the sale of a ticket; or refuse admission to Chippenham Park; or to remove from any part of Chippenham Park or ban entry to Chippenham Park (as the context so requires), any person whose presence or behaviour we reasonably believe will or may affect the safety and/or enjoyment of other visitors or Chippenham Park staff or other circumstances so require (including any failure to adhere to or comply with any part of these Entry Conditions or where any visitor uses or threatens to use any violent, aggressive, abusive, discriminatory or insulting words or behaviour). If we take any steps or actions contemplated by this condition, you acknowledge and agree that you shall have no right to and shall not be entitled to a refund or other compensation.
o If any visitor in breach of these Entry Conditions is part of a group, then such group of individuals may also, at Chippenham Park’s discretion, be denied entry to or escorted from Chippenham Park without right to a refund or other compensation.
o Unless otherwise advised by us, admission to Chippenham Park will only be permitted up to one hour before the applicable closing time.
o Re-entry to Chippenham Park following admission is not permitted without our express prior consent.
o In the event of extreme weather conditions or other events or circumstances beyond our reasonable control, we may have to close all or part of Chippenham Park. Should this happen, we will transfer your tickets to a convenient revisit date.

Section D - Conduct of Visitors and Regulations
o All persons in and around Chippenham Park should behave in a safe and appropriate manner at all times. Whilst inside Chippenham Park, all visitors must comply with any reasonable instructions given to them by Chippenham Park staff or any third party instructed on behalf of Chippenham Park. We will not tolerate the use of threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour towards our staff or other visitors.
o To prevent offensive weapons, dangerous articles and/or unsuitable items from being brought into Chippenham Park and to protect the safety of our visitors and staff, all visitors are admitted to Chippenham Park subject to a condition that, if requested to do so, they will allow themselves and/or their belongings (including clothing and bags) to be searched. Any failure to comply with a request for such a search may result in entry being refused.
o It is prohibited to bring into Chippenham Park any weapons, ammunition, explosives, fireworks, smoke bombs, horns, whistles, drums, flagpoles, banners, balloons, sporting equipment, large umbrellas or any other item which in our reasonable opinion may cause danger or disruption to any attraction, facility, event, visitors, staff or resident wildlife. The throwing of any article which could cause injury or affect the enjoyment of other visitors is strictly prohibited.
o Any person found to be in possession of an article deemed by Chippenham Park to be offensive or dangerous will be immediately escorted from Chippenham Park without the right to a refund or other compensation and Chippenham Park reserves the right to make reports to the relevant authorities which may lead to prosecution.
o Large bags, back packs and rucksacks are not allowed inside Chippenham Park.
o Smoking (including of e-cigarettes and vaping devices) is strictly prohibited inside, or at the doorways to, any indoor facilities at the Chippenham Park.
o Alcohol or illegal substances are not permitted to be brought onto Chippenham Park, and any persons found in possession of alcohol and/or illegal substances, or who appear to be under the influence of alcohol and/or any illegal substance may be refused admission to Chippenham Park or escorted from Chippenham Park without right to a refund or other compensation.
o The only transport devices which are permitted within Chippenham Park are wheelchairs and mobility scooters. Bicycles are not permitted within Chippenham Park, other than for travelling to Chippenham Park for the purposes of a visit (from the gate up to the entrance points only).
o The use of adult scooters, skateboards, roller-skates, 'hoverboards', sledges or any similar equipment is not permitted in Chippenham Park. Children are not permitted to ride on scooters, push-bikes/balance bikes and tricycles in the Park.
o The use of barbecues, whether disposable or otherwise, is not permitted at Chippenham Park. Visitors are not permitted to bring their own picnics, drinks or any consumables.
o Unnecessary noise (such as that from the use of mobile phones and other electrical equipment), or any behaviour likely to cause annoyance to other visitors or confusion of any kind is not permitted in any part of Chippenham Park.
o Dogs are allowed in designated areas within the Park, but must be kept on a lead at all times to help protect livestock and wildlife. Dogs are not allowed in indoor areas at Chippenham Park including, but not limited to the House, Rooms and Café.

Section E – Photography, videography and CCTV
o You are permitted to take photographs and video recordings at Chippenham Park provided that these are solely for your private use and are not sold, used or otherwise exploited for any commercial or public purpose.
o By accepting these Entry Conditions, you agree not to intentionally photograph and/or capture video footage of any individual without that person’s express prior permission and you must adhere to all photography/filming restrictions in place at Chippenham Park Estate from time to time.
o Except where an authorised wedding or event has taken place, celebration photography or videography (which includes but is not limited to, engagement, wedding, pregnancy, birthday, anniversary, fashion shoots, or anything else deemed commercial photography or videography by Chippenham Park) is not permitted within Chippenham Park unless the express prior written consent of Chippenham Park has been obtained. Charges will be incurred by any photographers or videographers who come to site without prior permission.
o Please note that Chippenham Park is strictly a no-fly zone. The use of drones and other flying objects is strictly forbidden (except with the express written permission of Chippenham Park). Unauthorised drone use can result in significant fines and may lead to prosecution.
o From time to time, Chippenham Park and third parties to whom we have provided our express authority may take photographs and/or video recordings of and/or sound recordings at, Chippenham Park (including in the car parks and surrounding areas, as well as at events) which may feature visitors. By accepting these Entry Conditions, you agree that Chippenham Park or any authorised third party may use such images, video recordings and/or sound recordings in perpetuity in any promotional, marketing, advertising or publicity material in any format and on any media channels whatsoever. You further agree that all copyright and any other intellectual property rights that subsist in or arise out of these materials shall be absolutely owned by Chippenham Park or such authorised third party (subject to our agreement) as the case may be.
o We endeavour to put up signs to make visitors aware of when photography and/or filming and/or sound recording is taking place. If you do not wish to be photographed, filmed and/or recorded, please do not remain in the relevant area.
o CCTV cameras are used to assist in the proper running and operation of Chippenham Park (including to assist with the safety and security of our visitors, staff and property). However, Chippenham Park does not make any representation or give any assurance as to the extent of coverage provided by such cameras.

Section F - Car Parking
o Parking in designated car parks at Chippenham Park is included in the ticket price, except that for some events and / or vehicles held at Chippenham Park, a parking fee may apply.
o All car parking spaces, including those for coaches, are allocated on a first come first served basis and cannot be guaranteed.
o Motor homes, camper vans, caravans and vehicles of a similar nature are permitted within designated car parks at Chippenham Park provided always that any gas supply to such vehicles is disconnected and such vehicles may not be left overnight unless Chippenham Park’s prior written permission has been obtained. This permission in its original form will need to be produced prior to entry to Chippenham Park.
o Vehicles are parked at Chippenham Park at the owner’s risk. Chippenham Park is not liable or responsible for any loss of or damage to visitors’ vehicles and no guarantee or assurance is given as to the security of visitors’ vehicles in the car park (including any contents left in vehicles).
o No vehicles are permitted to remain in Chippenham Park outside of Chippenham Park’s normal operating hours without the prior written permission of Chippenham Park (which Chippenham Park may refuse at its absolute discretion).
o Dogs or other pets should not under any circumstances whatsoever be left in any vehicle parked at Chippenham Park. Chippenham Park reserves the right to report to relevant bodies and authorities any animals that are left unsupervised or that are found to be in distress.
o Chippenham Park reserves the right to recover the cost of repairs and/or replacement from you if our car park equipment is damaged by you, your vehicle or the passengers in your vehicle.

Section G - Child Safeguarding Policy Statement
o Chippenham Park offers a family orientated experience, and we are committed to creating a safe and secure environment which ensures all children can enjoy themselves and that prevents children being at risk from any form of harm or abuse.

Section H - Our Liability
o All items, belongings and other property brought to Chippenham Park by visitors shall be at visitors’ own risk and Chippenham Park accepts no liability or responsibility for the loss of or damage to such property, save where due to our negligence or breach of duty. As such, Chippenham Park strongly recommends that valuables are not brought to Chippenham Park.
o You acknowledge and agree that you will be liable to us for any loss or damage caused by you or anyone in your party to the Chippenham Park Estate (or to any of its attractions or facilities) or for any illness, injury or death caused to any of our staff or representatives or to other visitors during your visit.
o You also agree that:
a. where you are the responsible/supervising adult, you shall also be liable for all children that you accompany; and
b. where you are the lead person for a group booking, you shall be jointly liable for any damage caused by the visitors in your group.
o If we fail to comply with these Entry Conditions, we are responsible for any loss or damage that you suffer provided that such loss or damage is a consequence and foreseeable result of our act or breach of these Entry Conditions, provided that you use all reasonable endeavours to limit such loss and/or damage. Loss or damage is foreseeable if either it is obvious that it will happen or if, at the time the contract was made, both we and you knew it might happen, for example, if you discussed it with us during the booking process. We will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by any event outside our reasonable control, including (but in no way limited to) fire, flood, storm, electrical outage or strikes, but we do not exclude or limit in any way our liability to you where it would be unlawful to do so.
o Nothing in this Section H shall restrict or otherwise affect your legal rights.

Section I - Annual Pass Terms and Conditions
The issue and use of a Chippenham Park Annual Membership (“Annual Pass”) is subject to the following terms and conditions (“Annual Pass Terms and Conditions”), which are in addition and supplemental to the Entry Conditions set out above in Sections A – I above. In the event of any inconsistency or conflict between these Annual Pass Terms and Conditions and the Entry Conditions set out in Sections A – I above in respect of the issue and use of an Annual Pass, these Annual Pass Terms and Conditions shall take precedence.
o Annual Passes are valid for a period of 12 months running from January to December, regardless of when the membership is purchased, and subject to the operating calendars of Chippenham Park and any applicable exclusion dates that apply at the relevant time.
o Annual Passes gives the holder access to Chippenham Park Gardens when they are open to the public only. Please visit our Website or contact us (using the details set out in Section A). All Annual Passes are purchased as individual Annual Passes.
o To use an Annual Pass, the passholder must show the Annual Pass at the admissions office or other authorised entry point at Chippenham Park. Entry to Chippenham Park by use of an Annual Pass will only be permitted if a valid Annual Pass can be presented. Please note that you may also be asked to present a second form of identification (such as a current photographic driver’s licence, passport or other ID card) in order to verify you as a valid Annual Pass holder in addition to presenting your Annual Pass.
o Any failure to present a valid Annual Pass (due to it having been lost, stolen or forgotten) or failure to provide sufficient identification evidence to verify you as an Annual Pass holder will result in a charge of the "on the day" admission rate applicable to the relevant attraction or experience at Chippenham Park (which will be non-refundable), save where you have contacted us in advance of your visit to inform us of your visit and the reason for being unable to present an Annual Pass. Any Annual Pass which has been lost, stolen and/or damaged should be reported immediately to Chippenham Park.
o An Annual Pass will only be valid when it is used and/or presented by the named holder and it is within the applicable validity period. Annual Pass sharing is a breach of these Annual Pass Terms and Conditions and any attempted use of an Annual Pass by someone other than the named holder will result in access to Chippenham Park being refused and the Annual Pass being revoked without a refund or other compensation.
o Annual Passes do not give access to, and entry is subject to additional applicable charges (such as entrance fees, car parking fees and/or booking fees), for entry into any events or attractions at Chippenham Park where participation or entry are made subject to the purchase of separate tickets or payment of additional charges. Such events or attractions to which separate tickets and/or additional charges apply include, for example, the Annual Easter Egg Hunt event typically held over Easter Weekend of each calendar year. Please note, Annual Passes do not include access to events organised by the Hospitality Team at Chippenham Park.
o Annual Passes cannot be sold, loaned or given away to or used by a third party. An Annual Pass will automatically become void without a refund (or payment of other compensation) if sold, loaned or given away or if any attempt is made to sell, loan or give it away.
o Photocopies of an Annual Pass will not be accepted at Chippenham Park and Chippenham Park may refuse entry to any person attempting to use an Annual Pass which is not an original or no longer valid.
o Each Annual Pass remains the property of Chippenham Park and can be withdrawn at any time. Passholders shall take all reasonable steps to ensure that their Annual Pass is kept secure at all times.
o An Annual Pass cannot be used in conjunction with any promotional offer, voucher or advance booking or with any discount or retail incentive unless otherwise stated by Chippenham Park.
o Under exceptional circumstances only (as determined by Chippenham Park) and subject to sufficient evidence of such exceptional circumstances being supplied to us in writing, we may agree to temporarily suspend your Annual Pass for a period determined by us acting reasonably. Please note that it is within Chippenham Park’s discretion to suspend an Annual Pass.]

J. Variation, Governing Law Jurisdiction
o Chippenham Park reserves the right to vary these Entry Conditions and/or Annual Pass Terms and Conditions by giving ticketholders/passholders not less than thirty (30) days' written notice of such variation by using the details provided to Chippenham Park when the ticketholder/passholder purchased their ticket/Annual Pass and by making a note of such changes available on the relevant terms and conditions page of the Website, so please review the Website periodically for changes. If you do not accept the amended Entry Conditions and/or Annual Pass Terms and Conditions, this may affect our ability to provide certain products and services to you.
o The laws of England apply to these Entry Conditions and Annual Pass Terms and Conditions, although if you are resident elsewhere you will retain the benefit of any mandatory protections given to you by the laws of that country.
o Any disputes will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. This means that you can choose whether to bring a claim in the courts of England or in the courts of another part of the UK in which you live. English is the only language offered for the conclusion of your contract with us.

K. ​WEDDING AND EVENTS TERMS & CONDITIONS
Please note: there is a separate Wedding and Events Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions that supersedes this general Privacy Policy & Booking & Entry Terms & Conditions, that will be agreed with relevant parties prior to the events taking place.
